Sandy has enjoyed a varied career at Gallaudet providing media services and she currently creates enriching content as Senior Producer/Director. Her responsibilities in this role have included researching and producing documentaries, writing grant proposals for production support, managing budgets, casting and directing talent, producing and writing a television news magazine for cable and network television, producing and writing a deaf children's television series, writing and publishing a newsletter, creating institutional programs for fundraising and celebrations, and designing video and web-based recruitment material for the University.

She has also served as Coordinator of Production and Captioning Services, Senior Captioner, and Producer Assistant on a film made in Romania for broadcast in the United States. All of her production experience has offered extensive travel and opportunities to meet incredible people, and for this she is very appreciative. Additionally, Sandy has contributed her talent to the Office of Public Relations as a Public Relations Associate.

Sandy graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio with a BA in Sociology and did continuing education in television production at The American University in Washington, DC. She has been honored with 3 EMMY Awards from the National Capital Chapter for writing and producing, 3 TELLY Awards for writing and producing, 3 CINE Awards, 4 CINDY Awards, a Gallaudet School of Communication Award for Creative Excellence, and was selected a Top 100 Producer in AV Multimedia Magazine.
